Wine ????????

I do not usualy consume alcohol but I would like to try a bottle of wine. I don't like dry or white wines so I am wondering if anyone could suggest a sweet ,fruity wine with a good alcohol %|||You say that you don't like white wines but one of the sweetest wines you can get is a Reisling and it is white. The only wine I can think of that meets all of your criteria, not white, sweet, and high alcohol content, is a port. They aren't typically sold in a full size bottle, which is 750mL, they are typically found in 375mL bottles due to the very high alcohol content.|||you should try an Ice Wine....they taste like candy

|||Riesling is not a wine, it is a grape varietal. Stylistically Riesling can be sweet, but it can also be dry (meaning little to no sugar, less than .2%)

|||This may become a trial and error thing with you until you can find a wine that you truly enjoy but here are a couple of things to try.





1. Blush (or rose) wines. They're the same thing, it just depends on what the winery has decide to call them. Some of them are sweeter than others and, for the most part, they're all fruity.





2. Ports or dessert wines or icewines. All are sweet and the variety of flavours in them are really broad. If you want something to eat with them, keep it simple - like some fruit or a bowl of ice cream.





3. I know you said you don't like white wine but not all wines are created alike. I'm figuring you have probably had white wines and you didn't like any of them but instead of completely writing off all white wines, try a different grape or a wine from a different wine region. The cool climate regions - like France, Germany, Canada and NY state - make some really great white wines.|||I know this is gonna sound pretty lame, but Riunite Lambrusco is really pretty good and inexpensive. It's a sweet red wine thats got kind of a "fizz" to it...not so much carbonated....but airy if that makes any sense. Anyhow, it isn't dry, it's just good one to try...lame yes, but I don't drink a lot of wine... I'd have to agree with one of the other posters about the Riesling though. And although it's a white, it isn't too dry and is pretty sweet...as well as a Guwerztraminer, kind of similar but much more difficult to say.|||If you aren't a wine drinker, I would suggest you start with a rose (commonly called blush) wine. I'm not sure what you're after with a high alcohol content (wines are usually 11-14% alcohol). Sometimes wines with higher alcohol content taste worse. Since you're a beginner, you could probably go to the closest place that sells wine and look for a wine at a $12-20 price point and odds are it will be what you're after.|||Well if you want wine that will keep longer once it is opened is box win it is sweet and still good. boons farm is like cool-aid

if you have a big liquor store you can look for a fruit wine|||Good sweet red table wines are actually a bit hard to find. But a red Zinfandel will work.|||Red Guitar is a great inexpensive wine from spain. semi-sweet, fruity %26amp; wet. It goes well with steak or a big fat burger.
